Wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring

Abstract: Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are increasingly recognized as a transformative technology for environmental monitoring. By leveraging the capabilities of these networks, researchers and practitioners can obtain real-time data on various environmental parameters, leading to better-informed decision-making processes. This paper reviews the current state of WSNs in environmental monitoring, outlines the challenges faced, and discusses potential future directions for this technology.
